Julie York is a maker whose practice is situated within both art and design. In this current body of work, Julie explores the role of architecture and the perception of space through two and three-dimensional images and objects.
These ceramic vessels are made by hand on Bowen Island, BC, and each piece is one of a kind. The vessel is made with a traditional wheel throwing technique, the design is hand-drawn onto the made form and then painted using clay and pigment to create the final surfaces.
