The Floatation suspension lamp was created by Ingo Maurer himself in the year 1980.
This exotic pendant lamp is made up of three shades made of fine Japanese paper, with the individual lamp shades hanging from thin steel wires that are turned around at the ceiling rose. The red metal ring functions as a visual contrast to the light paper and as physical counter weight; by moving this ring up and down the Flotation can be freely adjusted in height.
