Fritz Hansen PK9 Chair

The PK9’s unique shape is characterized by three pieces of satinbrushed stainless spring steel that act as a column, carrying the leather seating element. Poul Kjærholm was inspired by a sand imprint of his wife’s behind from a day at the beach. Later, during the design process, Hanne Kjærholm sat in boxes of clay to find the most optimal and comfortable solution.
