John Pawson Limestone Vase

John Pawson’s new designs for When Objects Work continue his long-standing exploration of the potential for functional objects to become part of the architecture of a space and its atmosphere. Amongst these pieces are new iterations of three of his original 5 Objects – the bowl, the candleholder and the vase – which comprised When Objects Work’s inaugural collection, launched in Milan in 2001. Returning to their quietly iconic geometries after an interval of two decades, Pawson has used experiments with material to drive formal evolution.
